Lab Overview

With Over 60 years in the dental industry the directors of DTS have always  travelled extensively to seek out the newest of ideas and techniques to implement in the laboratory.  Over the years many innovative techniques have been launched from technician’s hands.  However as we have grown it has always been important to keep that personal touch of a smaller laboratory.

Our business is segmented into several special departments that operate as small independent labs with a combined administration team.

Our teams cover all areas of dental technology:

You will find details of all these departments and the services within them on this site.

Some of our achievements over the years are below.

DTS introduced and founded the launch of Porcelain veneers into the UK through the Chameleon brand and still today manufacture more porcelain veneers than any dental laboratory in Europe, with a dedicated department of specialist technicians

DTS pioneered the introduction of the replablock technique, developed in Dundee dental hospital, for the replacement of full dentures in to commercial laboratories. This is still widely used in dental laboratories all over the world and renowned for exception results for replacement dentures.

DTS introduced Zirconia in the UK with the first Lava milling centre and today through our ZMC Core 3D centres we produce digital dental frameworks and restorations for DTS along with 250 laboratories all over the UK and Scandinavia

In 2009 DTS introduced the future of dental laboratories with the first fully integrated digital lab in Europe with all stages of the crown and bridge work flow completely automated other than the final ceramic staining and glaze.
